This Jian is called Fieyue Jian once used in Qianlong Dynasty.

Blade:

The blade is diamond shaped made of hand-forged damascus steel with a finely polished finish. It has a full-tang making it strong and sturdy. The sword blade has live sharp edge. The steel of blade is used by clay steel(mixed with super steel and Iron ore) that has been hand folded at least 20 times. So the blade is very hard(HRC58) and nice suitable for combat usage and cutting.  

The 2 sided edgs of blade has been hand grinded at least 13 times in the way of using smaller rices and other materials on the edge of blade, grinded time by time, so thats why the 2 sided edges of blade looks bright and also to make sure the edge is much sharpened!

The edge of blade is also being clay tempered made the traditional way of making swords in longquan, putting soil on the blade except the edges into burning!! This way is to make sure the edge of blade is both sharp and hard.

The Characters on blade means flying feather...gilded with gold.

Scabbard and fittings:

The scabbard and handle are made from aged ebony, making them both very strong and aesthetically pleasing with a very dark, almost black wood color and the scabbard and handle are covered by genuine stingray skin. The fittings are made from solid handmade brass. The carving of fittings are handmade(the workers spent much time in carving the design). There are several Chinese dragon carved on the fittings.

The whole length is 101cm. The length of blade is 77cm. The length of handle is 19cm. The width of blade is 3.5cm. The thickness of blade is 0.9cm.

The overall weight without scabbard is 1.1kg.
