The blade surface is totally hand grinded at least 10 layers not by machine.  

It is full-tang and made specifically for the fittings used making a tight and sturdy bond.

The blade has been clay tempered with real hamon to make sure the edge of blade is both hard and sharpened!!!!

The patten of twist looking on the blade is made well by the traditional way of making swords together with the element of blue and white porcelain in longquan, unique.

For this sword, the 2 sided edgs of blade has been hand grinded at least 20 times in the way of smaller rices on the edge of blade, grinded time by time.

So that's why the 2 sided edges of blade looks bright.

Scabbard and fittings:

The scabbard and handle are made out of old-aged Ipe hardwood.

The scabbard and handle are covered by genuine stingary skin.

The fittings on both the sword and scabbard are made from solid brass gilded with pure silver and 24kg gold in the design of dragon.  

The fittings are made from solid handmade brass gilded by gold and silver.

The way of gilding gold or silver has been passed over 2000 years in China..

The carving of fittings are handmade(The SIFU spent much time in carving the design).

There are traditional design of magpie and plum tree engraved on the fittings.
